# compas-CEM Installation error nlopt

Hello, im trying to install comps-cem per `pip install compas-cem` but im always getting the Error of:

Somehow my shell cannot build a wheel for nlopt, thus I cannot install the CEM plugin for grasshopper in rhino on my macOS..

Does anybody knows how to fix this? When trying out manually installing nlopt per CMAKE I still encounter issues.

hi Felix,

afaik, the authors of `compas-cem` are not active on this forum.  
perhaps you could check with them directly through the issue tracker of the repo or via the PyPI page?
