I’m currently reading the paper titled “A low-carbon, funicular concrete floor system: design and engineering of the HiLo floors,” which describes how to generate a mesh using topology optimization. I’ve attempted to create a mesh that roughly follows the principal stress Lines using the “From Features” tool, but unfortunately, my attempt was unsuccessful. Is there a way to incorporate predefined lines into the mesh?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

hi,

can you post an image of what you are trying to do?

thanks!

Sorry for the late reply.
So basically, I want to use lines as line features to create a specific pattern. I intend to use these lines for a rib-stiffened funicular floor system.

Edit: this is a better picture. Its from the paper: Rule-based topology finding of patterns towards multi-objective structural
design
