I needed some help on rhinovault2.
Do you think I could manage to generate those types of vault like fan vault and sexpartite vault (grey ones are exitings and pink are trials)?
And so what actualy represent the last image only vertical equilibrium ? Is it like putting the pattern under only vertical loads, like an hanging chain ?
Hi @morgie02. Yes, you should be able to achieve your desired vault shapes. However, the open boundaries here are completely straight in plan, which means that specific chains of edges in your form diagram will need to carry no force (force magnitude of zero, i.e. no compression).
To start, you can check out a couple of simple tutorials for a barrel vault and a cross vault to see what I mean.
