Compas_knit for generating stoll knitting patterns

Hey!

I was wondering if compas_knit is publicly available. I found compas_knit through the KnitCandela project by Zaha Hadid Architects and ETH Zurich. I couldn’t find much information about it other than in the attached image, a screenshot from a paper about the KnitCandela project. They used compas_knit to generate the form and patterns for the project, and I was hoping to use it in a similar way. I am attempting to make a 3D knit structure with a Stoll knitting machine. I want to use compas_knit in Rhino to translate a 3D mesh into knitting patterns for the Stoll. However, I have been unable to find any way to download compas_knit. If it is not available, I was wondering if there are any other methods to generate knitting patterns from Rhino forms.

hi hugh,

there is currently indeed no (publicly) available package. this is not because there is no willingness to share, but rather that the package is not in a sharable state :slight_smile:

i know mariana is working on this, but i assume it will take a bit of time to wrap things up…
