Recently, I attempted to install Compas-dev and Compas_slicer.
I did this, because I would like to work with the open-source slicer!!!
There seems to be an issue, I don’t have access to the grasshopper components.
I am not a software engineer, so rebuilding them from scratch is a bit daunting….
I can prove that Compas is maybe installed correctly; when I execute the code from the working with rhino section:
import compas
print(compas._version_)
I get 2.15.
However, not only do I not have grasshopper components showing, when I recreated this just now, I get this error:
Whereas last night it displayed the mesh square just fine…. I am super interested in working with external python libraries with grasshopper…
Seems like I’m just having some major errors installing things?
Not sure if I’m a complete dummy or if it’s because I updated my rhino version to 8.25.25328.11001, 2025-11-24
I’m on windows 11 BTW
The rhino updates do seem to change things pretty drastically.
